Ear Candling

Ear Candling or Thermal Auricular Therapy is an ancient treatment. There is historical evidence that it was used by the North and South American Indians, Chinese, Egyptians and Greeks.

When lit, the ear candle generates a gentle heat which, when combined with the therapeutic oils, produces a light suction action. This is known as the chimney principle and works by drawing impurities gently to the surface where they can be removed. None of the candle residue actually goes into the ear. A small disc is used to prevent anything falling from the candle onto the client.

"After being concerned about the levels of stress and exam worry among young people here, Welfare Committee organised a relaxation evening to encourage students to take a break from revision. Sue kindly came along to offer Indian Head Massages, which were extremely popular and great value for money. She was friendly and chatty, instantly putting clients at ease, and those who received a head massage gave very positive feedback. I certainly felt much more relaxed after mine! Thank you Sue.
